Dr. Hani El Shawa
Dr. El Shawa graduated from San Francisco State University with his B.S. in Biology and M.S. in Physiology and Behavioral Biology with honors. He received his Ph.D. from the University of California, Riverside in Neuroscience where he received several grants and awards to research the effects of prenatal ethanol exposure on intraneocortical circuitry, cortical gene expression, and behavior. Prior to joining Alpha Genomix Laboratories, Dr. El Shawa was an Assistant Professor at the American University of the Middle East as well as Adjunct Faculty for the University of California, Riverside and California State University, Dominquez Hills. He is the co-first author on various high impact peer-reviewed publications. Dr. El Shawa is an Affiliate Science member of the American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics as well as a member of the Society of Neuroscience and the Society of Integrative and Comparative Biology.
Richard Sasnett III
Richard brings over 18 years of sales experience with a passion for building new markets and dynamic sales teams within the IT and Healthcare Industries. Richard has a successful track record in launching disruptive technology where he has designed and implemented sales strategies to create new markets while winning significant market share from incumbents . Richard has achieved numerous accolades and awards including Multiple President’s Clubs, Legacy Club, and Regional Business Manager of the year in 2010. In addition, Richard developed and executed a sales and marketing strategy that grew a small lab in Georgia to a national diagnostic company with 600% growth and 30,000 specimen per month in less than two years. Richard graduated from Furman University with a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science in 1998 and participated in the Vanderbilt University Owens School of Business Executive Leadership Program 2003-2004.
